The African Union Commission (AUC) and the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia have held the African Conference on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change from September 6 – 8, 2010, at the United Nations Conference Centre (United Nations Economic Commission for Africa Headquarters), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
This international conference brought together high-level policy makers, practitioners, international organisations and the scientific community from all African countries and served as the pre-conference for, and is expected to provide input to, the global Conference on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change, that will take place in The Hague, The Netherlands, from October 31 – November 5, 2010.
On the last day of the conference, key recommendations for the conference in The Hague were formulated by the participants. These recommendations have been brought together in a final communique, that will be presented during the first day (monday) of the conference in the Hague by the African Union.
